I've been working with the Japanese language since 2002: an AFS exchange year in Niigata, a MEXT-scholarship university term in Okinawa, and a Japanese studies BA and MA.
I've been teaching at JLPT N1 level since 2020 — my lessons are built around real language use, not textbook phrases.
